CHAS

//Contractors Health and Safety Assessment scheme

  • Who are they?

Scheme dedicated to ensuring companies are fully compliant with health and safety legislation; in its capacity as a ‘one-stop shop’, the CHAS list of qualified contractors affords buyers peace of mind that the working standards of member companies are assured, helping suppliers to win business in a competitive marketplace.

  • Why do we work with them?

Technical Surfaces maintains synthetic sports surfaces nationwide and for a variety of clients including local authorities, schools, leisure centres and facility management companies. To meet our customers’ demands, efficiency and good organisation is central to the smooth running of our day-to-day operations. We understand that, before placing orders, a large number of our clients are required to pre-approve suppliers and contractors such as ourselves to ensure that they meet the required health and safety standards, and through participation in the CHAS scheme we hope to simplify this process for our customers.

Being CHAS-accredited demonstrates our compliance with important parts of health and safety law, pre-qualifies us to work for all buyers on the CHAS database, and shows potential buyers that we have the relevant experience, resources and ability to carry out maintenance and remedial works on synthetic sports surfaces.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements are available on request for each individual process that we carry out.
