Servicing 3G pitches
Regular professional servicing keeps 3G pitches performing safely consistently and reliably year round.
Routine maintenance restores infill levels upright fibres and surface performance ensuring ball roll consistency, player safety and longevity while meeting standards set by governing bodies including FIFA FA and RFU.
Maintenance and Care
To keep your 3G pitch performing at its best, regular and professional maintenance is essential.
Over time, rubber infill will compact / migrate away from the surface, and the carpet pile / fibres may flatten, which affects how the ball rolls and how the surface feels underfoot. Routine drag brushing, power sweeping, deep cleaning (Revite®), and infill top-ups help to restore the surface’s performance characteristics and extend its lifespan. A consistent maintenance schedule will help to ensure that your pitch continues to meet the performance standards expected by leading bodies such as FIFA, The FA and the RFU.

The 3G system
3rd Generation / 3G surfaces are one of the most commonly used surface types in the UK.
Made with longer synthetic fibres (typically 40–60mm) and filled with a mix of sand and rubber crumb (SBR), to replicate the performance of a good quality natural grass pitch. Recent advancements have seen alternative & organic infills used to replace SBR. Approved systems are recognised by governing bodies including the Football Association (FA), FIFA, and the Rugby Football Union (RFU). There are various testing standards expressed on these types of surfaces, including FIFA Quality Pro, FIFA Quality, FA Register and World Rugby.
