From replacement rubber infill and entrance matting to specialist equipment and machinery, we supply and maintain the extras that enhance performance and protect your surface.
We also offer professional floodlighting maintenance, fencing repairs and installation, and a full range of SMG and R.E.D machinery to help you manage your pitch effectively. These services complement your regular maintenance programme, ensuring your facility remains safe, efficient, and ready for continuous use.
Bags of Rubber
On 3G surfaces, the performance infill layer helps to support the carpet fibres and keep them upright, which in turn protects the performance criteria, playing characteristics and aesthetics of the surface.
Technical Surfaces provides bags of infill for storage on site, for your grounds team to undertake localised redressing of high-use areas (e.g. penalty spots, corners, goalmouths, entrances). These areas are prone to displacement through use, weakening or even damaging the carpet fibres.
We also recommend a Performance Infill Top Up once a year, to ensure the levels remain within the specification established by the carpet manufacturer.

Entrance Matting
Player footfall is one of the main sources of dirt and debris migrating onto artificial sports surfaces. Gateways and other entry points will quickly become contaminated.
A contaminated gateway is a health and safety risk, as the area will become slippery. Contamination will continue to spread onto the playing area itself, compromising the infill and carpet fibres.
Technical Surfaces provides Entrance Matting to help improve your sports facility.
We can also provide a wider range of grounds maintenance equipment, including boot wipers and brushes, drag mats and brushes.

Fencing
As part of Technical Surfaces’ continued commitment to Maintaining Standards, our site-based operatives and inspectors monitor the condition of the overall facility as well as the playing surface.
Many artificial sports surfaces are enclosed by fencing, rebound boards, ball catch netting, gates and kickboards, which can become damaged through play or vandalism.

SMG Range
Since 2005, Technical Surfaces Ltd has been the sole UK distributor for the Sportplatzmaschinenbau GmbH (SMG) range of machinery and hand tools specifically for use on artificial sports surfaces.
Our own fleet of machines includes many items within the SMG collection, including the SportChamp and CareMax.
We continue to work closely in partnership with the SMG Research & Development team to design and develop machinery and equipment to enhance the provision of maintenance products and services.
