//A Crazy Idea? Not for Technical Surfaces!
What our client says:
We are delighted with our adventure golf course following the work Technical Surfaces has completed. The Rejeneration® has cleaned the artificial turf better than we could have hoped for, and the course looks as good as new!
Arun District Council
While the core element of our work centres around football pitches, tennis courts and kickabout areas, customer enquiries can sometimes take us in a very different direction – but where artificial grass needs maintenance, rest assured we can provide the solution.
We were recently contacted by Arun District Council, whose synthetic sports pitch at Arun Leisure Centre has been maintained by Technical Surfaces since 1996. The presence of moss and silt on the artificial grass areas at their adventure golf facility in Norfolk Gardens, Littlehampton, gave them cause for concern, with the course in desperate need of a clean to remove the contamination that had built up over the years through heavy use. Areas of wear and tear had also developed around the tees, while the carpet itself lacked the sufficient sand infill required to ensure good playing conditions on the course.
Re-surfacing the 9 holes was not an option the council could afford to consider, and following an on-site meeting with our Technical Manager they were rest assured that the synthetic carpet could actually be rescued with some expert maintenance!
Using our patented Rejeneration® process, our operatives successfully removed the surface contamination and re-dressed the carpet with a clean sand infill. A correct level of sand serves not only to lift the fibres to make the carpet look as new, but it also protects the carpet from further wear, and actually helps to improve ball roll. We then replaced the damaged sections of carpet and remedied areas of subsidence, and applied a chemical treatment to prevent future moss growth.
The works were a complete success, with moss and contamination removed, and traction and draining properties restored, ensuring that Littlehampton’s Crazy Golfers will not miss out this season!
