Maintenance Contracts
Our maintenance contracts provide scheduled, expert care for artificial sports surfaces, ensuring they remain safe, high-performing, and durable throughout the year.
Regular servicing prevents compaction, infill loss, and fibre wear, protecting your facility investment.
Tailored to suit every type of surface and level of use, our contracts cover routine brushing, deep cleaning, infill management, and inspections.
With a structured plan in place, your surface, court, or track stays in peak condition, minimising costly repairs and maximising long-term performance.
MatchFit®
MatchFit® is our annual contracted maintenance service. There are three tiers available: Premier (12 visits); Plus (6 visits); and Play (4 visits).
Bespoke frequencies are also available on request. Each package is categorised by its frequency of maintenance and re-stick repair allowance. Contract period is typically 1-5 years.
Each MatchFit® visit comprises a Power Sweep and perimeter Vegetation Treatment (to 1m band). On 3G surfaces, a Decompaction is also completed. A re-stick repair allowance is also included.
Your chosen MatchFit® maintenance contracts should reflect the surface usage levels (based on intensity of usage, not just booking hours). Other considerations include environmental factors, in-house maintenance, previous maintenance works, certification / performance requirements and contractual obligations.
Our MatchFit® packages
Power Sweeping
Power Sweeping is a cumulative process and should be completed at regular intervals by a specialist maintenance provider.
This process is more technical than Drag Brushing and involves the use of a rotary brush to lift, clean, redistribute and redress the top few mm of infill.
- Two-stage cleaning
- Carpet pile recovery
- Infill cleaning
- Playing characteristics preserved
- Helps to regulate drainage and porosity
- Ensures even distribution of infill
- Reduces surface compaction
- Improves user comfort and surface perception
Granular Redistribution
Is an important part of the Power Sweeping process.
Dispersement of infill through usage and weathering can result in areas of the surface having either a build up or the lack of infill, which results in uneven surface performance and carpet pile wear rates. Our MatchFit® maintenance visits help to regulate and redistribute the infill levels.
- Regulate and redistribute the infill levels
- Consistent playing characteristic
- Reduces increased isolated wear
- Improves visual appearance
Decompactions
3G pitches are typically filled with a mix of sand infill (stabilising layer) and rubber crumb infill (performance layer). This infill will compact through time, use & weather.
Regular Decompaction of the infill is vital in maintaining the surface performance levels and extending the usable life of the pitch.
- Lifts, loosens and decompacts the infill
- Regulates infill levels
- Strengthens the support of the carpet pile
- Improves surface performance
- Helps to regulate drainage and porosity
- Improves distribution of infill
- Reduces surface compaction
- Improves user comfort and surface perception
- Extends the usable life of the surface
Vegetation Treatments
Due to their outdoor location, most surfaces will develop moss and weed growth if left untreated, particularly around the perimeter.
Manual / mechanical removal, supported by the application of chemicals where required, is the ideal way to target vegetation.
- Removal of weeds and moss can be completed by hand or with specialist machinery
- Perimeter treatments effectively control the enroachment of moss and weeds onto the playing surface
- Chemicals can be applied to treat areas of vegetation growth
- Proactive approach
- Effective reulation of vegetation levels
- Playing characteristics preserved
- Improves user comfort and surface perception
Annual Sports Facility Condition Report
With all MatchFit® contracts, we carry out an annual surface assessment. This enables us to produce a detailed Condition Report.
This comprehensive service is provided to all MatchFit® customers. One of our surface experts will visit your site to conduct an inspection, carrying out a visual assessment of the surface and surrounding areas. The information gathered will be compiled into a report that outlines the current condition and includes any necessary recommendations. These insights help shape both in‑house and specialist maintenance plans, presented as proactive and reactive options.
These Annual Sports Facility Condition Reports support effective maintenance planning for the year ahead and assist with long‑term lifecycle budgeting.
- Written surface condition report supplied post completion
- Carpet pile wear measurements recorded and documented
- Infill levels recorded and documented
- Pitch life expectancy updated annually
- Surface assessment, including photographic evidence
- Pitch plan of infill levels and any surface failures provided with each report
- Clear structured maintenance options provided for both reactive and proactive
- Documented advice relating to the in-house management of the surface
- Clear, professional condition records
- Early issue detection
- Sustained playing quality and safety
- Smarter, data-led maintenance decisions
- Visual clarity for quick action, particularly beneficial when findings need to be presented elsewhere
- Extended pitch lifespan
- Better budgeting confidence
- More effective in-house surface management
- Reduced downtime and disruption
- Protects your long-term investment
- Life expectancy promotes a planned, strategic approach to replacement
Additional MatchFit® Contract Services
Included in your MatchFit® we have these additional services with each visit; Restick Repairs, Top Up High-Use Areas & Surface Health Check Reports.
Restick Repairs
Where failing seams or inlaid lines are deemed suitable for reinstatement, resticking will be carried out (up to the included linear allowance). This intervention provides a durable repair solution and can reduce the requirement for more extensive remedial works, i.e. cut out repairs.
Top Up High-Use Areas
If we find the high-use areas are low in infill, e.g. penalty spots, penalty corners, corners, etc. We will redress these areas using infill from your inhouse stock. Regularly redressing these high-use areas is a fundamental aspect of any maintenance programme. Helping to protect the carpet pile and to avoid surface damage.
Surface Health Check Report
As part of each maintenance visit we will conduct a visual overview of your facility. We document our findings and all these Works Completion reports will be available for your perusal on our Online Technical Information System (OTIS)
OTIS Customer Portal
This is our On-Line Portal that is available to all MatchFit® customers.
OTIS gives our customers instant access to a wide range of important information.
Work Completion
This includes access to all of your Works Completion Reports from each maintenance visit.
Usage Hours
Our OTIS system captures surface usage hours and user numbers, calculating an accurate measure of intensity of use. This insight allows for more effective long-term surface management, supporting performance, life expectancy, and maintenance planning, while also strengthening warranty and guarantee compliance.
Log Own Maintenance Hours
For customers carrying out drag brushing in-house, OTIS provides a simple way to log maintenance activity, ensuring all records are captured in one accessible platform.
