What our customers say...

We are really pleased with the outcome of these works, and also with the condition of the pitch now, which is greatly improved.

Does your artificial pitch need a Rejeneration®?

For more information on the benefits of our patented Rejeneration®, call us now on 08702 400 700 and ask to speak to a Technical Manager

When the artificial sports pitch at Kingsford Community College began to show signs of deterioration in both its ability to drain and its performance levels, the pitch operators were keen to reverse this process and restore the usable condition of their astroturf.

The artificial pitch was originally installed in 2002, and at nine years old was starting to display the recognisable signs of an astro whose age and continued high usage had started to threaten its usable life. Not wanting to spend unnecessary funds resurfacing a pitch that could potentially be used for at least another five years, facility management company SGP contacted Technical Surfaces for advice:

"The astro pitch at Kingsford Community School has been maintained by Technical Surfaces since 2004", says Facilities Manager, Donna Harding, who explains the importance of the surface being in top condition:

Due to the age of the astroturf we noticed some mud patches had started to develop in places, and rainwater was taking longer to drain away. We contacted Technical Surfaces to see what our options were to rectify this problem before it really impacted on the use of the pitch, which is relied upon by both the school and the local community. Technical Surfaces identified the problem straight away, and completed a deep-cleaning Rejeneration® on the pitch in June. We are really pleased with the outcome of these works, and also with the condition of the artificial pitch now, which is greatly improved.

Our patented Rejeneration® process is specifically designed for artificial pitches whose infill has become so contaminated that the pitch can no longer drain adequately, leading to standing water which then leaves ‘tide marks’ or areas of silt on the playing surface following periods of heavy rain.

As well as looking unsightly, silt and mud can pose a slip hazard to users. Moreover, a contaminated infill can leave the pitch feeling compacted and hard underfoot, affecting the performance levels of the playing surface. The Rejeneration® overcomes this problem by removing the majority of the contaminated infill by the use of compressed air, ensuring a very clean extraction. Fresh specialist aggregate is then imported to replace that removed, leaving an almost ‘as new’ artificial sports pitch with improved user comfort and aesthetics.

To avoid the expense and hassle of resurfacing, consider a Rejeneration® of your artificial sports pitch or court, and as well as solving your flooding problems, with the right aftercare programme in place you could also secure an extra 5 years’ use from your artificial sports facility!
